Resumo
A anosognosia, falta de consciência de uma doença ou de dé ces associados, é um sintoma frequente na Doença de Alzheimer. A partir de uma revisão de literatura, o presente trabalho explora o impacto deste fenômeno no paciente, nos cuidadores, bem como suas consequências sociais. Concluímos o trabalho sugerindo que a anosognosia ampli ca alguns dos problemas mais importantes presentes em pessoas com demência, e, nalmente, apresentamos perspectivas para o cuidado de pessoas com demência com perda de insight sobre seus dé cits.
